Volunteer Role Descriptions
Instructor and Assistant Requirements:**HIGH NEED**
At Track3, we always pair two instructors with each athlete to ensure a safe, supportive, and fun learning experience on the slopes. No special certification is required. Track3 provides all the training you'll need! If you're a confident skier or snowboarder who can ride in control, have strong communication skills, and are patient and understanding of our athletes' needs, you'll fit right in!
Who can Volunteer?
- Instructors: Age 17+
- Assistant Instructors: Age 14+
Training Details:
Our Level One instructor training happens the first weekend in January, right after New Year's.
This 2 Day course runs from 8:30am-3:30pm at Craigleith Ski Club in The Blue Mountains.
We even offer Bus transportation from select GTA pick ups - so you can just focus on getting excited for the snow!
What's required?
- A $75 volunteer deposit covers your official Track3 training jacket or vest - something you'll wear proudly all season.
- Volunteers aged 18 and over, must provide a valid police background check. Valid for 5 years with a quick annual renewal form. If you're not sure about your status, just ask our office - we're happy to help.
Support Staff Requirements:
Minimum age to support is 14 years of age. Options can be: Assist on buses; assist athletes during breaks & lunches, assist in keeping facilities clean.
Office or Remote Volunteer Positions:
Track3 is a nonprofit charity with ongoing needs for support in our office and operations. We rely on talented volunteers to contribute within their skill set, whether that’s helping with event setup and takedown, selling raffle tickets, or supporting our social media content and tracking. Every contribution helps us deliver on our mission year-round.
