**** Attention all Parents & Guardians ****

RECENT CHANGES TO REGISTRATION POLICY

We have made some necessary changes to our registration system for returning students. This year you are required to return your registration forms and have your boot fitting done by October 5th, 2007.

If you have your own equipment or the student is in a sitski or if they belong to Talisman or Pine Ridge program you can just send your registration forms by mail or fax to our office or bring it to one of the registration clinics, with a note on the front page to why a boot fitting is not required. Talisman or Pine Ridge students will be notified by the office and/or their program director with a time and place to be fitted.

We have over 100 children and youth on our waitlist. To give everybody the equal opportunity to ski or snowboard and help us clear the lengthy waitlist, registration and fittings must be done by the date set out. If your registration form with boot fitting information, if required, is not received in our office by October 5th, 2007 your child will forfeit his/her spot. Their name will be added to the waitlist until a spot becomes available again, which may take several years. We do not have the resources or the manpower to chase down missing registrations. In the past we have done this but this will not be the case anymore, as we will be strictly adhering to these deadlines. This will allow us the time needed to have the waitlisted children and youth properly evaluated, fitted and registered so that they also can reap the benefits of the program the way your child or youth has. If you have any questions or need clarification with regards to this policy please do not hesitate to contact the office at 416-233-3872. .

You will receive your application package by September 6th, 2006. If you do not receive it by this date please contact the office. You can process your application by one of the following methods

  1. September 22nd, 2007 - Kid’s Day and BBQ at Centennial Park in Etobicoke, at the Ski Chalet – bring your completed registration form with you. You can have your boots fitted here as well. All waitlisted children are invited to attend and should have received their invitation for which we need an RSVP.
11:30am to 12:15 pm Registration & Boot Fitting
12:15 pm to 1:15 pm Barbeque
1:15 pm to 2:30 pm Field Day

  2. October 4th, 20076 - Bloorview Kid’s Rehab – Room OW225 – (which is through the lobby to the left and down the elevators and to the left – there will be signs – this is Formerly Bloorview MacMillan Children’s Hospital) –150 Kilgour Road, Toronto (Bayview & Eglinton area) -Registration & boot fitting will be between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm bring your completed registration form with you. You can have your boots fitted here as well

  3. Complete your registration form; go to a reputable ski shop to have your child or youth’s feet measured (both feet) and note it on your registration along with the name of shop or store that did the measuring. Return both the completed application and boot size prior to October 5th, 2007

  4. If you are not returning, please advise us ASAP and prior to October 5th, 2007

Your payment for the season must be with your completed registration form. You may pay by cheque, cash, Visa or American Express. If you would like to postdate your cheque or credit card payment you can do so, as long as all membership fees are paid by December 31, 2007. If you need to make other financial arrangements please do not hesitate to call the office at 416-233-3872 and speak to Kathy Saunders or Henk Engels.

We hope that you understand our tough line position on this registration form policy but it is not fair that children are left on the waitlist when we have room for them to come into to the program. Think about how you would feel if it was your child on the waitlist.

***LAST DATE TO FILE YOUR REGISTRATION IS OCTOBER 5, 2006***

MANDATORY HELMET POLICY

Remember, your child cannot go to the hill without their boots fitted ahead of time. All equipment must be setup prior to the start of the season. In support of Track 3's motto - safety, fun and learning, the HELMET POLICY is as follows:

Helmets are required to be used by students for on-hill and snowmobile transportation activities. Exemptions will be made based upon a doctor's certificate and a waiver signed by the parent/Guardian. Instructors are strongly recommended to wear helmets both for safety reasons and to lead by example. Snowmobile drivers are required to wear helmets.

Note: Track 3 supplies all the ski equipment which is for the use of the skiers under our supervision.  The equipment is checked by our ski technicians to be sure it functions properly and meets safety standards due to insurance restrictions.  We are unable to loan any of the equipment for use other than during our regular ski program periods under our supervision.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN GETTING YOUR CHILD OR YOUTH INTO THE TRACK 3 PROGRAM YOU NEED TO CONTACT THE OFFICE TO HAVE YOUR INFORMATION TAKEN AS WE DO HAVE A WAITLIST AT THIS TIME.  BUT DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED BY THAT BECAUSE HERE AT TRACK 3, WE NEVER SAY NEVER.
